What Are Combination Brows?
Combination brows combine two advanced permanent makeup techniques — microblading and powder shading — to create beautifully defined yet natural-looking eyebrows.
Fine hair-like strokes are placed at the front of the brow to mimic natural hair growth, while soft shading is added through the arch and tail to create depth and fullness.
This technique is perfect for clients who want the natural look of microblading with the added density and definition of powder brows.
Combination brows are especially suitable for those with sparse brows, uneven shape, or areas with little natural hair, creating a balanced and fuller appearance.
Results typically last 12–18 months, depending on skin type, lifestyle and aftercare.
Healing Process
Immediately after the procedure, the brows may appear slightly darker and more defined. This is completely normal and part of the healing process.
During the first 7–14 days, the pigment will soften as the skin heals and the brows settle into their final natural shade.
A perfecting touch-up session is included and is usually performed 6–8 weeks after the initial treatment to refine the shape, add density if needed, and ensure the best long-term results.
Who Are Combination Brows Suitable For?
Combination brows are ideal for clients who:
• Have sparse or patchy eyebrows
• Want a natural front with more defined tail
• Have uneven or asymmetrical brows
• Previously had microblading but want more density
• Want soft shading with natural hair strokes
• Want brows that still look natural without makeup
This technique offers the best of both worlds, combining realistic hair strokes with soft shading for a fuller yet natural-looking brow.
Who Are Combination Brows Not Suitable For?
Combination brows may not be suitable for clients who:
• Have very oily skin (powder brows may be a better option)
• Have active skin conditions in the brow area (eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis)
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Are currently taking blood-thinning medication
• Have recent Botox or fillers in the brow area
